SEASON 2023 WINNER
Season 2023 of the NOVA Paragliding Grand Prix has come to an end. Pilots from around the world faced three rounds of competition against the backdrop of challenging flying conditions. With each round pushing the boundaries of skill and determination, it was a season to remember.
We're happy to announce that the champion of the 2023 season is none other than Standa Klikar!
Standa's exceptional flying abilities and unwavering dedication propelled him to the top of the leaderboard. As the season's victor, he was awarded a new NOVA wing, the ENC two-liner 'Codex,' a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding performance.
Congratulations to Standa Klikar and all the pilots who participated in this season. Your passion for paragliding and determination in the face of challenging conditions have made this season truly memorable.

Krushevo is the world famous paragliding site. Many competitions were held here, including World Cups, European and World Championships.
Krushevo is known for its reliable weather conditions.
A mix of mountains and flatland flying allows endless possibilities of tasks setting.

As XCmag describes it - "Consistently brilliant flying weather, stunning routes over knife-edged ridges and limestone walls".
Chabre is an excellent location for organizing competitions.
The take-off area is large enough to accommodate 15-20 pilots ready for take-off simultaneously. There are two main landings, each the size of multiple football fields. One of these landings is conveniently located in the middle of our campsite, where the HQ will be situated.
The Chabre area diverse paragliding opportunities. The mountains in the immediate vicinity range from approximately 1300 to 1600 meters, with the usual cloud base between 2000 and 3500 meters. This provides great potential for cross-country flying. A two-hour flight beneath the wing will take you to the main Alps, where the mountains are much larger and the views are breathtaking.
This area is a mix of mountains and relatively flat terrain, although the flats are not completely flat when you drive around the valley. However, they do appear flat when viewed from 3000m at the cloud base.

Clopotiva is a flying spot suitable for pilots of all levels. You will fly over spectacular landscape of Retezat National Park with its 2509m Peleaga peak. The site also offers flat land flying possibilities in case of overdevelopment in mountains. The Retezat mountains are part of the Southern Carpathians.
Clopotiva belongs to prime Romanian flying sites.
